Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore Raises Over $20,0000 for Mid-Shore Students at Golf Tournament
Eastern Shore, MD – Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore (JAES) raised over $20,000 at its inaugural Mid-Shore Golf Tournament held on Nov. 4 at the River Marsh Golf Club in Cambridge.
The funds will go towards ensuring students in Dorchester, Talbot and Caroline counties continue to receive JA programs.
"This was an amazing event made possible by our mid-Shore board members, staff, sponsors, donors and golfers,” said Jayme Hayes, President of JAES. “A fun, exciting day on the greens will now ensure our students in the mid-Shore region take full advantage of JA programs, designed to provide an understanding of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.”
The tournament hosted 19 teams and included a putting contest, raffles and awards for first- and second-place teams.
The event was sponsored by the following businesses and groups: Farm Creek Insurance, Provident State Bank, McClain-Williamson Realty, BDK, Inc., WIN Transport Inc., Delco Packing Products, Whitten Retirement Solutions, Safehouse and Preston Automotive Group.
