Marketing Coordinator (aka Storyteller + Design Enthusiast!)
Are you a creative powerhouse who loves blending storytelling with stunning design? We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator who can weave compelling narratives and bring them to life visually! In this role, you’ll craft stories that resonate with the community and amplify the mission of Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore (JAES) through eye-catching design and engaging content. Your work will help us connect with our audience, from potential donors to volunteers, and inspire action through both beautiful visuals and powerful stories. Whether you’re designing for social media, creating promotional materials for fundraising events, or capturing the impact of our programs, your creativity will be key to growing our mission and deepening community engagement.
Impact
Your designs and stories will be at the heart of our mission, engaging with communities and sharing the powerful impact of Junior Achievement. You’ll help tell the JA story, bringing it to life in ways that resonate and inspire action. Your work will directly support programs that serve over 10,000 students across 9 counties, helping them gain essential financial skills, career readiness, and life skills. Primary Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do:
• Bring Stories to Life: Craft and design engaging content for social media, email campaigns, and print materials that share our mission and impact.
• Design for Impact: Create visually appealing marketing materials (brochures, flyers, digital graphics) that drive action and reflect our brand.
• Create Social Media Content: Manage and design social media posts, stories, and other digital content to drive engagement and raise awareness of JAES programs.
• Collaborate Creatively: Work with internal teams to brainstorm and execute marketing campaigns that creatively highlight JAES’s work in the community.
• Maintain Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs and content align with our brand, making sure we communicate consistently and effectively across all platforms.
• Capture the Impact: Use design and storytelling to showcase the real-world impact of JAES programs and inspire the community to get involved.
• Drive Engagement: Design digital and print content that encourages volunteerism, donations, and participation in our programs and events.
• Measure and Adjust: Monitor the effectiveness of your designs and content on social media platforms and other channels, adjusting to ensure maximum engagement and impact.
Qualifications (required)
What You Bring:
Required:
• Proven experience in graphic design and storytelling through visual content.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design tools.
• A keen ability to craft stories that resonate with diverse audiences, paired with a sharp eye for compelling design.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications (desired)
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in graphic design, content creation, and social media management.
• Proficiency with design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) and social media platforms.
• Strong portfolio showcasing design work, including digital and print materials.
• Experience with content strategy, brand storytelling, and engagement tracking on social media.
